We need short testimonials to include in David Crombie’s report to the TDSB and City.  This is a timely request, as submissions are due back to info@letsmakewaves.ca before February 26, 2009 to ensure they will be used in the report.  ALL testimonials will be included, and it is important to us that voices from across the city are heard. 

Please include your name, age, and the school pool or aquatics organization you are associated with.  As you write, we ask you to think about:

• What does swimming mean to you, or to members of your family or community?

• Have aquatics affected your life in a positive or meaningful way?

• What would be the impact if they closed the swimming pools? 

• What do you want to say to those who are making the decision to keep these community assets open, or shut them down?   

We want to hear from the young and the old, recreational and competitive swimmers, active and retired persons, school children and community pool users… we want to hear from EVERYONE!   Please take a few minutes right now to let us know your thoughts. Do it now, don't delay! Then pass this request onto a friend, family member, the parent council, team mate, swimming buddy, or anyone else you know who would also want to tell politicians what swimming means to you.
