Toronto, ON - April 8,
2008 - The Keele Pool Action
Committee, established in May of 2007 to prevent the
swimming pool at Keele Street PS from closing, is asking
all of its supporters to attend a Save Our Pools rally this
Thursday, April 10th at 6:30pm at the TDSB headquarters,
5050 Yonge Street, Toronto.
The Planning and Priorities meeting,
where swimming pools will be discussed, is taking place at this
location and a good turnout from the public will be a
big boost to the effort to save all pools at risk of
closing due to lack of funding.
How to get there:
Driving: 5050 Yonge Street is located north of
Sheppard Ave on the west side of Yonge. Street and lot
parking is available nearby. Transit: Take the
Yonge Subway to the North York Civic Centre stop, one
north of Sheppard Station. (Map).
