swimming pool in Huntington, England was just reopened after
a refit and facelift costing the equivalent of $1M Canadian
dollars. Among the changes: A UV water filtering system
that'll reduce the amount of chlorine by 66 per cent. |

Using heat naturally stored in soil or water is now a viable
option, both ecologically and economically, for heating
swimming pools. This article from Tampa, Florida is about a
community pool with a geothermal heating-cooling system that
keeps the water's temperature constant all year. The process
is already being used in our High Park neighbourhood.
High Park Lofts, located at Roncesvalles Avenue and
Dundas Street uses geothermal technology to provide heat and
cooling for the building's interior. |
